Sabiñánigo is the capital of the Huesca region of Alto Gállego, formerly known as Serrablo and its inhabitants still as Serrano residents. It is located in a unique strategic position, becoming the nucleus of communications between the peninsula, the Pyrenees and France. Sabiñánigo sits on the banks of the Gállego River at the exit of the Tena Valley and, due to its location and its range of services, it is considered the Puerta del Pirineo.
