We have an abundance of common areas that make it perfect to interact with other guests or to sit quietly at your laptop for work or study.
We have a different event every evening designed to help our guests socialize with one another.
Our most popular activities include our $2 ghost tours followed by free beer, our free wine and cheese soirees, and our free pub crawls.

Some guests have mistakenly thought that we're some corporate-run hostel. We're actually a mom-and-pop business. Apple Hostels is owned by a Canadian and German husband and wife team. We purchased an old tiny hostel in Philadelphia in 2008 and turned it into one of America's highest-rated hostels right from the start. In 2017 we expanded to add more common areas (new kitchen and lounge) along with smaller dorm rooms and really nice private rooms. We're really proud of what we've accomplished!

Important information

You must have a government ID showing that you live more than 40 miles from Philadelphia to stay with us.
This property will pre-authorize your credit card before arrival.
Be at least 12 yrs ( accompanied by an adult/guardian) to stay in a Dorm room.
The maximum length of stay is 14 nights.
Starting December 1st 2021, dorm beds are no longer subject to hotel tax, just sales tax. For private rooms, the hotel tax remains in place. So as of the 1st of December, private rooms will continue to be taxed at 15.5%, but dorm beds will only be taxed at 8%.
All guests 18 years and older checking into our hostel must present proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
