The Ostello dei Sassi - a brand new structure opened in July 2015 - has been created from the restoration of old farmhouses called "lamioni" and is the starting point to discover all the secrets of Matera.
Matera’s old town is an astonishing network of cave houses, known as ‘sassi’. Bars, restaurants and hotels are built into the limestone rock face and you can take a walk through uninhabited caves.

Che bello luogo e che sorpresa per me. L'Ostello dei sassi è un ostello straordino. Mi piace molto. Un posto pulito. Un posto con charme. E un ottimo posto per visitare Matera, la meravogliosa città.
